It’s no 930, but I’ve seen 944 Turbos asking over $60,000. No idea if they’re getting those prices, but either way, this would be a fun car to drive. This one looked like it actually gets driven, so I’m it is valued a little more attainably.

Man I want one of these. Very much out of my price range, but the NA ones are reasonable enough that they're in consideration for a fun car

I drove a non-turbo 944 back in the 80s. I didn’t think it was very good dynamically given the badge. But it’s been a while. Still - 60 grand, even for a pristine example, sounds like reaching.

I think it has to be a combination of thinking the car will appreciate in value plus having an emotional connection. I have no emotional connection, and I think if you want appreciation, you buy a Porsche that’s a limited edition, like the Speedster.
